White Mountains Safari Adventure to Kallergi Refuge at 1,680m

The excursion begins with pick-up directly from your accommodation, ensuring comfort and convenience from the very start. The journey continues through traditional villages, far from mass tourism and crowded areas, revealing the authentic side of Crete.

As we head into the mountainous interior, guests will admire breathtaking landscapes and the island’s unique natural beauty. At a certain point, we enter an off-road route leading to the Omalos Plateau at an altitude of 1,100 meters. The route passes through dense forests and rivers, with the chance to encounter local wildlife such as the Cretan wild goat (kri-kri) and birds of prey soaring above the mountains.

Upon arrival at the plateau, we stop for a short break, photos, and to admire the imposing Mount Gigilos, rising over 2,000 meters.

The adventure continues with a more exciting off-road route towards the Kallergi Refuge, located at 1,680 meters above sea level. If weather conditions allow, we may even pass through clouds, creating a truly unique and unforgettable experience.

At the refuge, visitors will enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Samaria Gorge, the longest gorge in Europe. On clear days, the view stretches across western Crete, including Sougia, the Libyan Sea, and the impressive White Mountains.

After time to relax, take photos, and enjoy the scenery, we begin our return journey, filled with unforgettable memories of Crete’s wild and authentic beauty.

Balos Lagoon & Falassarna Beach Tour

Your experience begins with a private or semi-private pickup from your accommodation as we set off towards the stunning Balos Lagoon. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, we leave the main road and follow an impressive off-road route through wild natural landscapes, offering breathtaking views of the sea and surrounding mountains. Along the way, there is a strong chance of spotting wild goats or even hawks.

After around 20 minutes of off-road driving, we arrive at the Balos parking area. From there, a short 5-minute walk leads to the panoramic viewpoint, where you will admire the spectacular lagoon and its exotic crystal-clear turquoise waters — the perfect setting for unforgettable photos.

To avoid the demanding hike down to and back up from Balos Beach, we continue west towards our next destination, Falassarna Beach — one of the most famous and impressive beaches in Europe. There, the vehicle parks right next to the sea, giving you immediate and effortless access to swim and relax. You will have approximately 3 hours of free time to enjoy the beach, swim in the crystal-clear waters, or simply unwind under the sun.

Your driver remains at your disposal throughout the experience, ensuring a smooth and safe return to your accommodation.
